Her poppa is in the hospital and Mibs is hoping to get something that could possibly save her his life. A family friend is planing her thirteenth birthday, and is inviting people that Mibs isn't even friends with. She's going to have her party at the church and she isn't very thrilled. Mibs's brother, her friend Will, and his sister Bobby, all get on the bus with her. When they find out that the bus is actually going somewhere else, they're into deep trouble.

I liked this book so much! It was an 'always on the edge of your seat' kind of book! His brother, Harold, tries to prevent Homer from being harmed by his uncle. Homer finds out hes not sure if he's going to tell the mean man the truth or not.

This book was definitely filled to the brim with adventure. I'm not sure if I liked it or not. In some parts it was fantastic, other parts failed to interest me. I would give this book a 58% chance of voting.Xaviahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00013607596383839019noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2126880398073526815.post-17218150746177222002010-04-14T11:09:00.000-07:002010-04-14T11:57:02.475-07:00The Graveyard Book<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 94px; height: 141px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgjLAa8VSDmFr0vo7bu_fHHY0A-ZrbuKxYkf4Xt1kdYdKlr-7Y_fiuSsAgawNK5teLf0Scq81fQbu_pOaE_GeNIUhQbV_RDDlIoVROZ-G8mK0xSGyDgZLKL_CRX3EQtSZjue200moMjKg0/s200/graveyard.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5460069123181534034" />
The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman
When Nobody Owens, Bod for short, was a young child his whole family was murdered. That's why he now lives with a family of ghosts, in a graveyard. His whole life hes been around ghosts, his teachers, his parents, his guardian, they're all ghosts. When Bod was about 5 years old he becomes friends with a girl, a real living girl that breathes real air, her name is Scarlet and Bod and Scarlet have lots of fun adventures together in the graveyard. Scarlet's mom and dad convince Scarlet that her friend is just her imagination, a figment. Scarlet moves away and Bod isn't exactly happy about the situation. He goes on living with no living friends.

One of Bods biggest interests is who killed his family. When his old childhood friend, Scarlet comes back to the graveyard with a man, Mr. Frost, Bod finds out that Mr. Frost moved into the big house his family used to live in. Mr. Frost thinks he found some information on who killed Bods family.

I liked this book a lot because it was bone-chilling, and a good mystery. If you think I slept the night I was reading this, your wrong! Neil Gaiman's writing is somewhat scary and exciting at the same time. I would give this book a 92% chance for winning my vote.Xaviahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00013607596383839019noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2126880398073526815.post-59781233321599930282010-04-07T16:58:00.000-07:002010-04-12T09:14:44.357-07:00Time is running out!<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 131px; height: 98px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjidVm2p7diUh6iADBqbq2i04WXhIl3DeQLGo4gIrExUCAVrhfEpu7Bqz6K2T3-VuOhSjs7C096xvUZHKYahdC4VQsVIjxgn4ty7MvsSpX06C4dUMfiCPfeG6raSchnb04djpWANoiBfNQ/s200/images.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5459285122059955010" />
The other day I walked into the the library and the first thing I saw horrified me!
