Greetings from Nowhere

Greetings from Nowhere by Barbara O'Connor
Ever since her husband Harold died Aggie hasn't had much business in the ten-room motel, Sleepy Time Motel, it used to be packed with people and now she hasn't had anybody for about three months. She decides to put an add in the paper and sell the place, but easier said that done!

Willows had a hard time with her mom and dad's break-up, but when her dad tells her he's going to buy a motel and start a "new life" she's not too happy. They'll be going soon and will stay in the motel well they wait for Aggie, the motel owner to sign the papers.

When Kirby's on his way to an all boys school for bad kids, his mother's "piece of junk" car breaks down, they'll need a room at the closest motel.

When Loretta gets a package from her other mother, her real mother, there's a lot of her earthly possessions. Including a charm bracelet, with charms of places her mothers been. Her family decides to visit those places so they start with the great smokey mountains and wind up at the Sleepy Time Motel!

After all this, Aggie is very excited to have so many people at once be at the motel, but is not too happy about the people who are buying it.

This book was good, but it didn't really appeal to me very much. There is a 45% chance that I will vote for this book.

  1. This seems like an interesting book! Is there a picture of the charm bracelet in the book? I am curious what places Loretta visited and now I have to find this book.
